Croce-Mozart-Detail.jpg
27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791
baptised as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart,
was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era.
Born in Salzburg,
he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood.
Already competent on keyboard and violin,
he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty.
At 17, Mozart was engaged as a musician at the Salzburg court,
but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position.
While visiting Vienna in 1781,
he was dismissed from his Salzburg position.
He chose to stay in the capital,
where he achieved fame but little financial security.
During his final years in Vienna,
he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas,
and portions of the Requiem,
which was largely unfinished at the time of his death.
The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized.
He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.
He composed more than 600 works,
many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic,
and choral music.
He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers,
and his influence is profound on subsequent Western art music.
Ludwig van Beethoven composed his own early works in the shadow of Mozart,
and Joseph Haydn wrote: "posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years".

El catálogo Köchel (Köchel Verzeichnis, Köchelverzeichnis en alemán) fue creado por Ludwig von Köchel en 1862 y enumera las obras musicales compuestas por Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791).
--
The Köchel-Verzeichnis or Köchelverzeichnis is an inclusive, chronological catalogue of compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which was originally created by Ludwig von Köchel. It is abbreviated K. or KV. Köchel catalogue numbers not only reflect an ongoing attempt to establish a chronology of Mozart's works, but also provide a shorthand to refer to them. For example, Mozart's Requiem in D minor was, according to Köchel's counting, the 626th piece Mozart composed. Thus, the piece is designated K. 626 or KV 626. However, Köchel's original 1862 catalogue has been twice substantially revised, and some works have had three K. numbers assigned to them; e.g. Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 1, K. (412+514)/386b.

1795 Eli Whitney Blake, American engineer, invented the Mortise lock (d. 1886)
A mortise lock (mortice lock in British English) is a lock that requires a pocket—the mortise—to be cut into the door or piece of furniture into which the lock is to be fitted. In most parts of the world, mortise locks are found on older buildings constructed before the advent of bored cylindrical locks, but they have recently become more common in commercial and upmarket residential construction in the United States. They are widely used in domestic properties of all ages in Europe.

38 El Fablistanón
Asurraba. Los viscovivos toves
tadralando en las váparas ruetaban,
misébiles estaban los borgoves,
mientras los verdos momios bratchilbaban.
¡Cuidado, hijo, con el Fablistanón!
¡Con sus dientes y garras muerde, apriesa!
¡Cuidado con el pájaro Sonsón
y rehúye al frumioso Magnapresa!
39 Blandiendo su montante vorpalino,
al monstro largo tiempo persiguió...
Bajo el árbol Tumtum luego se vio
y un rato cavilando se quedó.
Y estando en su aviesal cavilación,
llegó el Fablistanón, ojo flagrante,
tufando por el bosque fosfuscón,
y se acercó veloz y burbujante.
¡Un, dos! De parte a parte le atraviesa
varias veces el vorpalino acero.
Y, muerto el monstro, izando su cabeza,
regresó galofando muy ligero.
¿De verdad al Fablistanón has muerto?
¡Ven que te abrace, niño radioroso!
¡Hurra, hurra! ¡Qué día ristolerto!,
risotó carcajante y jubiloso.
Asurraba. Los viscovivos toves
tadralando en las váparas ruetaban;
misébiles estaban los borgoves,
mientras los verdos momios bratchilbaban.

Synapses (at least chemical synapses) are stabilized in position
by synaptic adhesion molecules (SAMs)
projecting from both the pre- and post-synaptic neuron
and sticking together where they overlap...
